August: A month that promised the gift of time

With things being quieter due to people being on holiday and fewer client meetings, I had the perfect opportunity to work on my business. But here's the twist: the very quiet that offered me time also took away the stimulus I needed to be productive.

It's fascinating how we often think time is the only ingredient missing in our recipe for success. Yet, what I found was that time alone wasn't enough. The buzz of a busy office space, the exchange of ideas in workshops, and the adrenaline rush from a bigger workload—are stimuli that often fuel my creativity and drive. In their absence, the abundance of time turned into a void rather than an opportunity.

I quickly learnt a valuable lesson in understanding the balance between time and having the right conditions. Both are essential for growth and productivity. One without the other is like a car without fuel; it simply won't move.

So as we move into the bustling back-to-school months, I'm making space to harness both the time and the right environment to be productive. How about you? Have you ever found yourself with time but without the conditions to make the most of it? What makes you tick?
